Account Executive

An Account Executive is an important link between Sigler and its clients. In this role, the chosen applicant will understand their clients’ needs and goals, then determine how Sigler can best help meet those needs. Always focused on providing comprehensive solutions and excellent service, the Account Executive is never an order-taker and grows sales by leveraging the complete service offering and utilizing an internal team of experts.


  • A college degree in business, communications or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of successful sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment.
  • Previous experience and/or education in the communication and graphic arts industry or commercial printing preferred but not required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Excellent people, communication and presentation skills; ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Prospecting skills; ability to network and connect with potential clients
  • Time management skills; fast learner with the ability to prioritize tasks and work in a dynamic environment
  • Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite of products
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and have access to transportation (mileage is reimbursed); ability to travel within the state of Iowa. Occasional out of state travel may be required based on client needs and location


  • Pinpoints business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry relative to the Sigler service offering
  • Sells services by developing relationships with prospects and existing clients; recommending potential solutions as opposed to an order-taker approach
  • Meets or exceeds sales goals; actively participates in sales team meetings
  • Maintains relationships with clients through frequent communication and by providing support, information, and guidance as needed
  • Leads regular review meetings with client to discuss performance and future needs or opportunities for partnership
  • Works with an internal support team to service the daily/operational needs of each client such as quote requests, job entry and project management
  • Vets the occasional cold lead or warm leads received from website inquiries and referrals.
  • Focuses on the customer experience and overall client satisfaction -- strives to be the best part of every client’s day
  • Adheres to company values in all daily work, internal or external  -- Sincerity, Innovation, Gratitude, Leadership, Engagement, Respect, Courage and Optimism

Employment Classification: Exempt, full time

Salary: Commensurate with experience, base + commission structure
