Sigler celebrates 55 years with open houseNovember 13, 2013 (Source: Ames Tribune)
AMES, Iowa – Sigler will celebrate 55 years in business on Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its offices in Ames.
The company has been undergoing a restructuring over the past couple of years and Thursday's ceremony and open house is also an opportunity to recognize those efforts, company officials said.
Sigler is a communications company that focuses on design and production services, helping businesses in their marketing campaigns with print, packaging, e-commerce, online tools, apparel and merchandise, according to the company's website.
The restructuring streamlined the company's Ames operations, leading to the closing of its Innova office on Main Street, and the relocation of employees to the company's Des Moines office, or it's printing office on Riverside Drive, near the Ames Municipal Airport.
Thursday's ceremony will include a public open house that is scheduled from 3-7 p.m. at the Sigler office at 3100 S. Riverside Drive, and will include a report on the company's progress following restructuring. Gov. Terry Branstad is also scheduled to be on hand for comments.
The company employs nearly 200 people at its Ames office and about 50 at its office in Des Moines.
